Loved bear to the bone..it was interesting how young love lasted until they were grown, although Cage knew Carrie was his mate. Carrie was clueless to this, but she was head over heels in love with Cage regardless of genetic. It always good to not judge a book by its cover, because Cage sure was that person. Grown up with basically criminals which included his "father" some father he was. I know a few people in a bike gang gets rowdy but bad dealings and trying to harm ain't cool at all. Loved how Cage wanted to make things better for Carrie..and through it all love Concurs all
Loved Cage and Carrie's story.
I read a lot and sometimes the books I read become almost depressive because they are so heavy, long and complicated and I want something light and happy just to relieve the heaviness. Books like this are the refresher I want. It is a pleasant, well told story with a minimal amount of errors. There is some graphic sex so probably not good for young people. I would recommend the book to all others who like shifter books. I will be happy to read more of this author's works.
The idea is sound. However this book is in serious need of editing. Way too much repetition and not much movement. The constant rehashing of the past just didn't work. And it was almost irrelevant that he was a bear shifter. Should have been a novella.
I've obviously been blind to this whole shifter genre. This author has quite the diverse back catalogue in this genre.
The shifter storyline was an underlying theme in Bear to the Bone book one in the Bear Claw Security series. Plot didn't feel smooth, like there was too many threads - their initial meeting, the MC, his mother doing a runner and hiding a box in the area and not taking it with her, Willow, his shifter colleagues, time in the army. I was left with unanswered questions that are hopefully address during rest of series.
That being said the character of Limes has caught my attention. I'm interested to read his story.
As a child, Carrie saves a small bear cub caught in a trap. Soon after she meets a young boy and they are best friends throughout their school years. Cage leaves for the Army after graduation and while they try to keep in touch, it's been years she's heard from him. While missing him terribly, she's glad he got away from their hometown and the motorcycle club that causes so much trouble. So when Cage returns, Carrie's delighted. But Cage is worried how she'll responds when she finds out he's wearing the motorcycle club colors and oh, he's a bear shifter. He's home to collect her as his mate and protect her from the club. But he can't tell her anything...except how much he cares. And he hopes that's enough for now.
Great storyline and well developed. I appreciated that the issue with the motorcycle club can't be solved immediately as oft happens in these books. Gives us a few more pages to savor.! Highly recommend this book.
Life and love isn't all black and white. There is a lot of gray. Gray is the nasty place where you have to do the wrong things for the right reasons. However, even with the lies and deception love can still prevail when the truths are revealed.
I really enjoyed this book. It was filled with drama and love. Cage is a strong man with faults but good intentions. Carrie has a big heart and a strong will. It is always nice to see childhood friends grow into a meaningful relationship. The sex was sweet and loving in this book. There was action and fighting but Cage always protects Carrie even when she finds herself in trouble tied to a motorcycle and a gun to her head. Everyone likes a gorgeous hero saving the day. I'm no different and can't wait to read more. Hunky bear ex soldiers can save me any day. This book was very entertaining and I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes shifter romances.
Terry, as usual Knicks it way way out of the park, and two huge grizzly paws way way up for a very wonderful heart thumping drop dead certified prime time in love with his fated Nate since they were kids dedicated alpha male hero. He can come rescue me anytime on his Harley, and his team mates too!!! Double WoOtY wolf whistle alert!!! Cage had me hooked from page one, and his true love fated mate, I just wanted to tell her stuff that Cage couldn't at the time.... ( like, girl, he loved you, just do what he says stop being so stubborn ) and ( you're in danger, girl, don't trust those other guys in the bar, just Cage!!!! Just trust him!!! ) I really really loved it!!! A huge you must read!!! I can't wait for more bear claw security series books!!! I received a gifted ARC from Terry in exchange for an honest review, I also purchased the book, since I live Terry and want to support her career, and see her write more outstanding books!!!!
